a peachtea and strawberry cat collab? something so exciting i cannot begin to describe. as a photography and media creator, i have always stood for inclusivity and creative diversity. something strawberry cat has a whole lot of naturally.
"being able to release music for people who can't afford to go to a "normal" studio. my job and goal with what I do is to be able to put out quality recordings and hand made DIY merchandise for low prices for anyone and everyone who is interested. i think the artists in our area make amazing, underrated pieces and i want to be able to do what i can to spread the word."
if you want a hands on, personal and unique to your music experience every single time i suggest strawberry cat like nothing else.
"i help design the cassette artwork and whatever else the artist needs, duplicate all of the tapes, cut out all of the labels, cut records, help get gigs, interviews, and get other pieces of merch out there like pins, stickers, etc. i then also help with the recording process and mixing/mastering process. it's all a big ol labor of love."
supporting local music as a young up and coming artist herself, leah david runs strawberry cat records with an open mind and passionate mission statement. "to me it's important to produce as much as i can. as a member of the LGBTQ+ community it's crucial to me that our voices are heard. the dream is to be able to work with as many artists as I can and to grow more connections and be able to put out music for everyone."
look out for future photoshoots and video with this wonderful label. there are so many ways to support local music and strawberry cat records is one wonderful way how.
